I agree that you should stand up for yourself, definately but I think that child should of been told it's not nice to hit, and as far as my mannerism, she degraded myself, my country....It was opinion my opinion on her question. I was at the hands of bullies and I know, punching does not work...

I don't agree with your answer either, but it is your opinion and you are entitled to it. She shouldn't have asked the question if she wasn't prepared for people to actually state their opinions either way. I think she went over the top.

I don't feel it's necessary to backlash at answerers. However, your approach in answering that question leaves much to be desired. You've berated her, attempted to degrade her and the way you worded your response was quite reproachful.

I don't happen to agree with your answer to her question. But that aside, your choice of words left me feeling defensive and angry. Perhaps it's your approach that made her feel warranted in responding so harshly to you. Sometimes you can get your point accross without being insulting or rude. It's a matter of tact, which is sometimes alot more difficult then being tactless.

I am simply offerring you some constructive criticism, and I sincerely hope that I haven't in any way offended you in doing so. If I have, please accept my apologies.

edit... to your edit.... you've made your point, and without insult... you very well could have done that when you answered her question. The word "disgusting" would immediately put anyone on the defensive.

No, I don't but I think people like that are looking for a fight. I'm sure she already knew people would say things like that so she had the "bring it on" attitude all set up. She may not have even been telling the truth in her "question" description.

Sometimes when they seem to be inciting hatred, intolerence and racism or outright stupidity. Then I remember that I don't know these people anymore than they know the ones they are trying to degrade.

Any mother would be sensitive to someone calling her parenting skills into question. I feel if you don't like certain answers, then stop asking certain questions.

Not really. I guess it all depends on the situation. I remember bashing this one chick cause she claims that Hawaii girls are sluts when she was posting how to get some other girls boyfriend. How lame. People come on here for advice and opinions not a bashing.

Why were YOU so rude and judgmental in the first place??!!! Serves you right! You never insult someone's parenting skills, how would you like it if she said you were an awful mother because your child (3 yrs old btw!) decided on his own or by instinct to hit somebody because he felt backed into a corner or scared or whatever!
