New Jersey has a distinct smell... not a good one either. Frankly there is nothing good about Jersey except that they have lower gas prices than NY.

Love:
-all the great malls and places to shop
-being close to NYC and close enough to other major cities like Philly, Boston, D.C.
-food....have great diners, bagels, pizza...as well as any type of ethnic food you could want for a good price too
-certain towns are really nice
-jersey shore
-low gas prices
Hate:
-high cost of housing for property that is not even worth it
-rude/obnoxious people
-most of the cities..paterson, newark, camden, etc...
-high taxes and car insurance
-everyone always bashing the state
-overcrowded
-traffic

Love:
The shore (small shore towns like sea bright, long branch, etc)
safe suburbs/communities
fast paced
change of seasons
low gas prices
great public education
close to NYC
Hate:
traffic
can be expensive, depending on where you live
the small, conservative, uptight towns
the NYers that come and litter on the beaches all summer
"shore towns" like belmar and seaside heights (TRASHY!!!!!)

I LOVE white castle, the shore, the fact that they are not backwards (I live in PA now). I HATED the crowds, the rudeness, and the fact that I can't pronounce my R's.

Ventnor is nice and so is Trenton. It gets me away from the bustling city for awhile....Owww and Wawa's can't forget Wawa.
