I don't think that would be the answer. Prisons are over populated as is & there are drug problems in prisons too. Maybe a forced rehab with locked doors.

i don't think prison, but i do think they should be forced into some kind of a rehab facility that keeps them away from the outside world for a period of time, prison would not be a good idea, the reason why?
because allot of inmates still have access to drugs and other contraband from out side the prison walls.

I don't believe drug addicts should be going to prison for simple possession. There are many addictive substances. The government chooses to criminalize those addictions that are most associated with people of color and those of little financial means.
"If tobacco suddenly were unavailable and was as expensive as heroin and cocaine, I think that you would find that the behavior of some tobacco addicts would be very much like the behavior of some addicts of heroin and cocaine." Dr. C. Everett Koop

No, they should not. They have an illness and they need medical help. They need to go to rehab. Prison just makes their situation worse, because once that is on their record it's hard to get jobs or financial aid for school or custody of their kids.

I think drug addicts should be removed from society.
Maybe a halfway house until they are ready for rehab. They are ready for rehab when they can recognize they have a problem.

If they commit crimes to support their habit, then, yes. I thought they already went to prison for possession...
Drug addicts are a nuisance, period! What's worse is the recidivism...They should be locked away, forced to go cold-turkey, and "programmed" to hate drugs.

i comprehend your question. yet in assessment to maximum cancers you at the instant are not usually born addicted (till the mummy grew to become into doing drugs on an identical time as pregnant) you p.c.. up a drug to get addicted. you're additionally allowed to end it in assessment to maximum cancers (inspite of the fact that it incredibly is tricky for addicts they have the resorces).

no way soulsista! They should be sent to a place where they can get treatment for their problem. I really dont think they should be put with criminals like murderers and thieves, and physical abusers, what they did was to themselves not to any one else!
