almost. The Rockets need a pf, getting Juwan (experienced)and Turiaf (young, energetic) is nice plus they dump Alston. Minn. would like getting Brown, who is younger than Howard and only has 1yr. left on his deal. They could see if he works out. The problem comes with the Lakers. They get a backup pg and two so-so wing guys (Wells would be so much better if he showed up to play every game), but they lose 2 bigs. They have Kobe, so they need help up front more than g/f.

I think that the trade is good for the T-wolves and the Rockets, but not to my dear, dear Lakers.

T-wolves, this is easy. They are rebuilding, obviously, they want to cut cap space, they'd do that of the tune of about $9-10 mil with Brown.

The Rockets would add size and dump some of their many, many smalls. Frees up playing time for other good players, and gives them both experience and energy at the 4 spot. Great trade for the Rockets.

The Lakers are well rounded right now, they have players that can play at every position, this trade would cut them at the knees in the bigs department and would create a logjam with the smalls.

i don't think the Lakers would trade Turiaff-- he's an energy guy- but they might give up B. Cook instead of Turiaff (which would still work- and if Phil worked it right he could get Bonzi too contribute) and the Lakers could package Lamar and Bynum to get a player like J. O'Neal.

If Phil Jackson could light a fire under Bonzi Well they'd have a steal in that trade if he doesn't they don't get squat which then it's a great trade!

Juwan isn't good enough to be demanding a trade out of anywhere, he has been a bitter disappointment since he left University of Michigan.

i really like that trade.

1) takes care of houston's depth problem
2) j. howard returns to h-town
3) brings another man at the post position
