So today is supposed to be my ninth grade orientation. The school hasnt called or sent a letter. But I found out on the schools website it was today. Its on the schools website that its today. Which I dont think anyone ever goes on to. My dad tried calling the school but noone answered. It said "office hours 7:30am to 3:30pm", my dad called at 4:15.

Question is... what should I do? Around 6 maybe take a ride over with my dad to see if it looks like theres alot of people around and maybe that means its at 6? Or what!!?! im so nervous! lol

Freshman year isn't tough. High school is exactly like middle school. The only difference is in 8th grade they probably over-prepared you for high school. Orientation is worthless. They tell you things like, "and when you order lunch, we don't accept credit cards" and "you only have one day to turn in your homework" Drop by the school for your schedule and to see where your classes are. You will be fine.

I never felt nervous. You shouldn't. I even had to hang out with a bunch of seniors. Just focus on the fact that summer is ending and you have to start going to school again.

first of all CALM DOWN. every other person that is going to into the 9th grade with you, feels exactly the same thing you do. Exactly. by the middle of the school year, you will look back at today and LOL at how nervous you are now. How do I know this? Maybe I'm psychic - nope. But I felt the nervousness, bottomless pit in my stomach, etc. on my first day of 1st grade, my first day of 9th grade, my first day of college, my first day of my college internship in NYC, and my first day on my new job....lol. It will happen again and again in your life you will become a pro. I'm in my 20s now and still get nervous on the the day of "firsts." as for what you should do - exactly what you said, take a trip around the school early and see if people are hanging around. call a friend and see what they think - 2 heads are often better than one. Either way, don't do nothing - you don't want to miss or be late for your first day of orientation. good luck - sure you won't need it though.

Stop by. It would suck to miss orientation, only making you more nervous on your first day.

I'm guessing you may have missed it already, though.

If so, no big deal. I assume you got your schedule already. Just get there early on your first day and ask the nearest teacher where you're supposed to go if you're lost.

Freshman year can be tough, but it'll be over with before you know it.

Have fun and good luck!
