Is it this one? It's Grieg's "Morning Mood"

Dvorak 's " Adagio" from the New World Symphony:

They're both beautiful!

When you said peaceful and used a lot, I imeediately thought of Grieg's "Morning," from the Peer Gynt Suite #1. And I was bolstered by the number of other people who said it, too. There's just one problem, though. Your dah-dahs don't match it. Can you add some other detail or reference which would help? This piece goes G-E-D-C-D-E-G-E-D-C-D-E-G-E-G-A-E-A-G-E-D-C. (Sorry if that's not the right key, folks.) Play that on an instrument if you can and let us know.

Aaron Copland's "Appalachian Spring," Section 7?
I was going to guess Haydn's Symphony No. 94 in G Major, second movement, but you would probably have added
"dah dah dah dah dah"
if such were the case. :-)

Without being able to fit these to the pattern you gave, the most peaceful sounding-pieces I can think of are Grieg 'Morning' (Peer Gynt), Debussy 'Claire de Lune', Satie 'Gymnopedie', The Girl With The Flaxen Hair (can't remember who wrote it, sorry) and Mozart's Clarinet Concerto.
If you go onto Classic FM's website, (Classicfm.com I think) you should be able to find out what the piece is. Good luck!

People, people people, yes it MIGHT be Grieg's 'Morning' from the Peer Gynt suite. But equally it could also be Mozart's Clarinet Concerto. It is also entirely possible to be the Largo from Dvorak's New World Symphony. Without actually hearing the music itself none of us are able to say with any degree of certainty the name of the music the questioner is trying to recall.

seems like "morning" by Edward Grieg,1843-1907,from his peer gynt suite, written in 1876.I think it was used as the background for a coffee advert in the 1970`s or 80`s??

Zounds! I've been thinking about this one and just decided it might be the slow movement from Dvorak's New World Symphony - rushed to my computer - and Mephistopheles beat me to it! Do let us know what you decide it is, won't you?
