It;s like owning a car, you might really like a convertible but once you have drove it you may find its not really for you. I would agree, you really need to have sex to be absolutely sure you are gay or straight. But you also should ask the straight people that are asking you, if they had sex with someone of the same sex to be sure they are straight.

You are so spot on. Some folk think it's a phase you're going through. Well hello, 20+ years and counting is a bloody long phase!
I agree with so much of what you guys above say - it's about more than the sex at the end of the day - it's about forming a relationship and a bond with someone.

Within myself I do not feel that orientation is dependant on sex. I regard myself as bi because I'd like to be naked in bed with man or woman and I'm really not into intercourse at all. I've had a good look at all these sanctimonious g0y websites too and although theoretically I fit into that category, I am quite repulsed by their determination to distance themselves at all costs from the gay community. I do not want sex from gay men but as regards music, being colourful and stating that a man can LOVE another man, and not just be best buddies with them, I feel more in tune with gay than g0y communities.

People are ignorant. Being intimate with someone is not just about having sex with someone, it is forming a closeness, a bond that defines who you are and your innermost attraction. That bond is something that goes beyond the physical and (to me) is the key thing in determining my sexuality!

I dont know but I think that is quite lame.
I want to save sex for the one i love you know?
so that it means more.
Im just going with the flow,
i like males and females and i know that without taking my pants off.
I guess different people view this differently, but we are all entitled to our own opinions.

I think it's strange how people can say they're straight without having sex but someone can't say they're bi or gay without having sex. I think it's ridiculous. If you're attracted to either the same sex or opposite sex then you can be straight, bi, or gay without having sex.
Good question.

That's it exactly. Nearly always spoken by someone smitten with someone else who doesn't return the affection, with the misguided hope that they can be turned around, so to speak.
