Did you remember to dechlorinate the water in the tank?

Did you float the fish long enough for the temperature to adjust and then add some tank water to the bag to prevent pH shock?

If you did those things then odds are good it's still just adjusting to it's new home. If you forgot to dechlorinate the tank, do so as soon as possible.

It will do that as it gets used to the place, especially if there aren't a lot of good places to hide. A 10 gallon is definitely the best thing for your fishy, and my crown tail male is also in a 10. But when I took some stuff out he did the same thing, they like to have it planted(could be fake plants) with at least one cave to go inside. good luck!

The new water has shocked him. Either change in ph or radical change in temperature. He'll be fine in a day or two. Tomorrow you will likely have your same old betta back. He's a little stressed over the whole deal.

Did you float it first so it could get acclimated to the tank? maybe the water is the wrong temperature.

maybe its not used to its new environment. try to buy some type of aquatic things, like sea anemone. it may also be stressed out check your ammonia levels and nitrate levels it could also be to tired to do anything. it could also be sick , go to your local fish store and ask for fish mox.
