Is saying a prayer for someone on here against guidelines? I have read them . I don't see anthing saying you can't do it, but over half the time, if I do I get a violation or erased. I don't doubt at all that this question will be removed. Why?

I don't just state,"I'll pray for you" as some do. I write out the prayer. I even had one removed after it got best answer.

Keep up the good work.....Satan is a coward and a liar....God is over this and everything else. God is in charge. Just remember not to throw pearls before swine.

Honey, I don't know why it's happened to you. I've answered questions where I agreed to pray for the individual or their situtation. I've never been in violation or erased (yet!). However, I got a violation just yesterday because in my answer, I quoted the exact same terms that the question contained...thus the violation. Did I shoot back my retort to the customer reps? You bet your sweet bippy, I did! No answer yet, but I felt better! So, do what you feel in your heart is right--in my mind you can never go wrong!

I've told people I would say a prayer for them. I dont remember anything in the guidelines about prayer being against the rules. I guess we'll find out.

The rumour is that Yahoo! was bough out by muslims. That might explain it.

On the other hand, maybe we Christians are getting MORE latitude, because they are in favour of faith.

Maybe atheist ownership of this site might close down this whole category of questions!

I don't think so. Further, if you are reported for something that you don't believe is fair, you should click on the Customer Service link and complain. They won't put it back up but they will give you your points back. This won't happen every time but it won't ever happen if you don't fight back.

That would be so silly. I hope not.
