My girlfriend made me a mix CD on a CD-RW and I went to play it in my cd player. I know the dye can cause problems, but i also know it's not finalized. Is there a way to finalize a CD after it's been written?

And, No you must Verify the disk at the time of burning not later.

An unfinalized disk can be finalized, but only on the device that created it. If the disk isn't finalized it won't play anywhere else.
