Hey wuz up Lanka person.

"I only say it once, equals 1000 times".

ODI Debut: India at Nagpur, 1990.
School: Ananda College.
Club: SSC & heck with the (I.C.L.)
Born: November 22, 1970 at Kalutara, Sri Lanka.

"Marvellous" Marvan Samson Atapattu an patient opening batsman that lead the batting averages among Lankan Lion players in World Cup 2003.
He made 382 runs with an average of 54.6.
He scored two centuries - 129 against South Africa & 127 VS Zimbabwe. Sri La won both matches.
He was the man of the match on both occasions & was number 4 in the line up for Man of th Series award....wtf was he a "Captain" at the time NO however, played like a real "Captain" & not a Vice Captain.

Not just 2003 but, what he did for Sri Lanka all those years.

100+ runs VS England
Australia
Bangladesh
Frosty Canada
kenya
India
Pakistan
South Africa
Zimbabwe
&
West Indies.

However, Marvan should have played the early Icc World Cup 2007 games but an old snub name Ranjit Fernando & other selectors ignored Marvan to participate in Sri Lankan cricket.

Marvan also had back troubles due to an injury.
Now Marvan's sub-contract has expired & will play for the I.C.L & get paid 500,000 American dollars.

However, I will never forget "Marvellous" Marvan Samson Atapattu.
I salute you.......
"Marvellous" Marvan Samson Atapattu
for outstanding & fantastic cricket career duty amen.
