I created a temporary folder on my desktop, used it for a few hours, and deleted it. And it came back! So I deleted it again, and, well, it just keeps coming back. I checked under the properties, and un-checked 'read only' and tried again. Nothing seems to be working. What is going on?!?!?

Highlight the folder then hold down your SHIFT button and DEL button at the same time. That will permanently delete it instead of moving it to the recycle bin.

It might be in use by another program, possibly an antivirus or antispyware scanner or a system process - try renaming the folder then deleting it. If all else fails, use a free utility called MoveOnBoot

Try deleting it to the recycle bin.

Then empty the recycle bin.

Once that is done, reboot your pc.

Not sure this will do it, but it seems like the easiest option.

well, go through all of the files in it. There might be crucial files your computer needs to keep running. If not, well try moving it to the recycle bin. hope this helps.
