I have to agree 100% with you. I can't stand to see ignorant a** folks being the ones getting "airtime" to voice their biased opinion on a matter that is as FAR away from being racially motivated as this one is.
For ex: If this was a normal everyday blk truck driver from the same neighborhood as these clowns claiming racism and he was dog fighting, bet $$$..etc and got caught.....the cops would probably just take his dogs and fine his a** maybe. gov. wouldn't even know about it and nor would we.
..so just ask yourself what is the difference between the 2 blk men and you'll have your answer?
This is not race related and even ray charles can see this.

I have known black men from both sides of the 'fence' if you will, some don't let it get to them they simply consider the small mind of the source and realize it has nothing to do with them personally and refuse to be brought down by it, i've known others that see it everywhere and feel it like an incredible weight dragging them down at every turn..but i think the question is the same no matter what color a person..why does anyone let someone elses perspective, opinion, situation hold them down some people are influenced greatly by others attitudes towards them and some aren't..why do some people with handicaps exceed beyond anyones expectations and some do not? i'm sure some do use it as an excuse just as some humans use any other thing as an excuse not to succeed but i don't think this something that strictly applies to race. by the way alcohol, joints and dropping out aren't exclusively black issues, white kids do it too and whats their excuse? they just don't annoy you, and how do you explain that? do the white kids have 'valid' excuses for not succeeding?

Never thought I see a question like this! It's a relief to know that people like you exist.
They do it because it's easy and because so many Blacks have been conditioned to play the race card by either their so-called leaders or because it works. Few people are brave enough, either Black or White, to stand up and say that those who are playing the race card are wrong. Whites will then be considered another racist and Blacks will often be considered a trader.

actually people DID say the right wing attacked Clinton because he was so popular among Blacks.
I dont think anybody is blaming what vick did on racism.
But I do thik the justice system is going after him really aggressively. I can't say it is because he is black or if it is because he is rich, or Both. But its seems out of the ordinary.
Slipknot - I din't mention racism at all in my question about Vick yesterday. I didn't even imply it. But then, I didn't have to. now did I?

We've been conditioned to have this knee-jerk reaction by our "leaders" unfortunately and the end doesn't seem to be anywhere in sight. I'm sick of it too, the reaction to Barroids was just about as bad as michael vick. This nonsense trivializes actual racism and makes us look like the boys who cry wolf.

Michael Vick does deserve to be punished for what he did. It shouldn't be an issue of race. I don't have any control over what other Black people are doing, all I can worry about is myself.

He does deserve to get everything thats coming his way. OJ case too was based on race! Throwing the race card so carelessly makes it really hard for the people actually facing racism to stand up. also makes our white brother feel thats thats all we do! WE NEED TO STOP! its giving a bad name to people who work hard to live Martin Luther Kings Dreams...

Your exactly right..his race has nothing to do with the fact that waht he did was cruel and wrong....there is no need for Al Sharpton to be preaching when there is nothing to preach about..Vikc plead guilty because he was guilty not because he was black and the "white cops beat it out of him" but because he knew he was wrong. I hate it when black people do things like that because it makes us seem like we dont want to fess up to things we did wrong and it makes us look manipulative...like we know if we play the race card ppl will back down simply because they dont want to seem racist.

I agree with you. What gets me as well is the fact that there are plenty of non-famous black people out there who ARE suffering from prejudicial prosecution. Why doesn't Sharpton and the NAACP help these folks out?
