I had some break-through (in between period) bleeding- back in April- found a polyp (benign). I am having bleeding- spotting (mostly brownish) again. I am 35. I called to get another appt. with the Dr., but I am nervous. Anyone have a similar experience?

Yes, I had this happen to me back in 1999 and then I started to have a bleeding episode for two weeks that came out of nowhere. I thought my breakthrough bleeding episode had something to do with going off and then going back on one of my medications. But then I also noticed that after the bleeding did stop I had cramping although nothing there.

In 1999 my doctor found a polyp at the top of my cervix and removed it. It was benign. So now with the bleeding episode I had for 2 weeks about a month ago that came out of nowhere my doctor is requesting that I have a special kind of sonogram done called a sonohysterogram done. They are doing this to check to see if maybe I have some polyps growing on the lining of my uterus. They call these polyps endometrial polyps.

When I had the polyp in 1999 I was 27 and I am now 36.
