Contact the team. Some practices are open to the public, some aren't. A lot of times teams practice in faraway places to avoid the public.

During my time with the Hawks, the last few practices before the season starts and the roster is pretty set we allowed the public in,.....school classes, etc. The first 10-12 days of camp was usually just reporters

It should be... practices during the season are open to the public free of charge.

It was just in the past few years that the Devils organization had closed practices during the playoffs.

Practices are held at the Richard Codey Arena at South Mountain on Northfield Avenue in West Orange. I believe the arena phone # is (973) 731-3828. There is an option to get to the recording regarding Devils practice days and times.

Good luck, maybe I'll see you down there!
