Yes, If the NFL wants to clean up it's act, cut Michael Vick permanently.
He's very replaceable.

Pete Rose was thrown out for what i feel was a lesser charge.
These sports rock stars need to know there are limits to what
their employers and fans will tolerate. He knew he was wrong
but Ive heard no apologies or remorse for his actions.I'M a
Atlanta resident and I'm embarrassed that someone so talented and loved down here would lower to this level and expect us to give him a pass.
The Falcons will have a hard decision to make, but as for me and many other fans I'm done watching these over payed
punks get away with everything and think no one sees or
cares.Besides he ll go to a joke of a minimum security
jail and do his short time and learn nothing. Sorry but I wont
be watching him on TV or buying any future tickets as long as hes on the Falcons .

no not for life. as previous responses stated this is a society that gives more people more chances than anywhere in the world. i don't think that many teams would be interested though. Pete rose was banned bcuz of gambling if Vick gambled than yes he will be gone. if a person serves the time given by the judge then he or she should be allowed to work again in their profession. he will probably go to the CFL if he is not allowed in the NFL.

Yes He should. I feel anyone that is in the public eye and that is a role model to our kids that do things like this should be permanently banned. It was very hard to tell my sisters little boy who Loves watching Vick, why he would not be seeing him anytime soon. A 9 year old was crushed by what he was told since he wants to be a zoo keeper when he grows up to keep all the animals safe. My sister dose not believe in lieing to her children.

Leonard Little killed a man. Vick killed dogs. Little is still in the league.
Vick should have to do his time in jail and then apply for reinstatement back in the league. But permanent ban? Too harsh in my opinion.
EDIT: Vick would not be allowed to play in the CFL. They put in a rule now so that suspended players can't sign in the CFL.
Vick's crime happened outside the world of football. Rose gambled on baseball and compromised the integrity of the game. That's why Rose deserves a ban.

To be honest, I don't think it really matters if Vick is allowed to return to the league or not. I actually don't see any organization out there that would want him, even if allowed back.

I say yes. Why? When confronted by his management (Falcons) and the management of the NFL he told them that he did nothing of the sort and was completely innocent. He repeated the same slush to us. Does this indicate the type of character and integrity that you would expect from an employee? Would you cut him loose? I would hope so.

Yes, he should.
Who wants to look at a dog killer every Sunday? Who wants any MORE money to go in the pocket and further enable a sadistic monster, that MIGHT go on to something even WORSE to get his jollies off?

Only if he was running a gambling ring...the dog charges are not sufficient to permanently take away a man's livelihood for his first offense...that's not to say anyone will employ him, I just don't think he should be banned unless he is found to have been running a gambling organization.
