What is the difference between Angina, Chest wall pain and a mild heart attack?

For the past three days I have been having tightness and pain in my chest and it‘s a bit hard to breath, it started in the front and now is all over. I have repeatedly gone to the doctors about my heart, but they keep telling me it’s nothing more than tachycardia and anxiety. But this pain is different.

I do not have insurance so they will not actually look into my heart or chest. They did a panel on me several months back, but they refuse to do anything else. I have begged them to send me to a specialist, but they refuse to see me as well because I don’t have insurance.

This pain came on a few days ago and has not gone away. I am afraid that they’ll just send me home again with out doing anything, I am on atenolol and ativan, but it doesn’t feel like it’s working right now, some times I feel like I’m going to pass out and I’m so very tired. I don’t know what to do and it seems that the doctors care more about how they’re going to get paid than my life. Is my life really less important because I don’t have insurance?

I got kicked off Medicaid because my husband makes slightly too much money, but we can not afford health insurance either. I don’t know what to do.

This is what's wrong with the health care system in our country, and it definitely needs to be changed. People who make just above the minimum requirements are no longer eligible for Medicaid, but still cannot afford insurance. Go to a different doctor, explain your circumstances, and see if they will accept small monthly payments. Your health is indeed more important than the blasted money-making medical industry, which also includes pharmacies. Some elderly people have to choose between their meds and their food, and some children are denied medical care because their parents can't afford it. I don't know what this world is coming to, or how the problem is going to be solved. But see if you can get on a payment plan. There are some doctors who are good samaritans and care more about the patient than how they're going to be paid. Good luck, my dear, and I hope you get some results.

I actually know exactly how to feel. This happened to me about 2 years ago and I lost about 20-25 punds because I just lost all of my appetite and didn do anything but watch tv eat 3 sandwiches a day and play on my drums. I think this actually made me healthier than I had been before. When I went to the doctors they told me it might be mild arrythmia and anxiety. They gave me pills to drink but I thought screw them. They didn't even check anything to great so why am I gooing to drink something they prescribe me when they're just basically guessing. Thank god, the symptoms went away after a few weeks and everything went back to normal. What calmed me down mostly was that I had gone to a free clinic and gotten a heart monitor placed on me for 24 hours and a heart sonogram or whatver the hell they're called. They found nothing. Insurance is a pain in the *** these days though. It's easy to feel that doctors don't care about you unless tyou havce insurance. I don't think it's that most of them don't care, I think they just become jaded after a while. There a re alot of people who go to emergency rooms and don't pay the bill and see it as a sort of checkup.

Just want to comment on the girl above me who says that insurance is about 35 bucks a month. Just curious on what world she is living in, cuz that is NOT the case.

Hun, I am sorry you are dealing with the chest issues. I too have no insurance and have been dealing with chest issues for about 5 months now. It is scary, and aggravating, and I am so sorry you are going through this. I am sorry I cannot answer your question, I merely wanted to correct the chick above me, and let you know you are not alone.

BEST WISHES

Yes of course they think more about money then human life. I have had chest pains for about 3 year I am not worried about it I rather die then give those crooked bastards $600 for a Tylenol. Anyway all I think it is anxiety. Best of luck to you.
