I'm sure there are many people who are... -But a MUCH larger issue is being missed here... Nearly half (that's right; 50% !) of ALL cats & dogs born in this Country today- will end up being put to sleep because NOBODY wants them. Breeders are turning out kittens & puppies left & right to suit the "whim" of people who want "purebred" animals with "papers..." And those animals that DON'T make the "grade" or DON'T get adopted for WHATEVER reason- are "disposed of" without ANYONE giving it a second thought! So while it's EASY to censure M. Vick for making dogs "fight for their lives..." -Maybe we would be alittle LESS hypocritical- if we started thinking about the tens of thousands of OTHERS, and how THEY never have a chance... :(

At least they wont be tortured to death after losing a fight, and hopefully they will be put down quickly and mercifully.
These creatures were ruined for anything outside a fighting pit.
EDIT: I'm sorry I provoked a thumbs down, but I own a Pitbull, and they are such wonderful, loving dogs with such strong spirit that my heart breaks at the stupidity of people that see them as money makers.
I have owned excellent dogs in the past, but none compare to the personality of a well raised pittie.
I only hope Vicks victims are quickly, with compassion and efficiency, put down humanely.

Of course I am saddened because many of these dogs confiscated from the Vick Estate will be destroyed; yet, I am equally saddened that many people do not have their pets spayed or neutered. These pets breed, families cannot take care of them, and the young are abandoned on the side of the road.

Its sad and no fault of their own, but has to be done. At least it will be more humane than the others got.

Great to feel sad for dogs. What about the millions of people being tortured and killed all over the world? Why so much uproar over dogs and nothing over genocide?

Some dogs were breed to fight and that's all. I used to think that was very horrible then I meet a lady who was attached in her sleep by two pit bulls. They weren't even hers, they just walked right on and mauled her face. Now I understand why.
