I work in a office and we have large cubicles with low walls so even when I leave my gym bag in my “visitor chair” people just hang over the wall talking… there are times when you just don’t have the time for idol chatter…

I have the same problem, I just put a bunch of files/papers on my desk, and when people come by to talk nonsense, I'll pick up a file or a stack of papers and flip through them, and continue to do so as they attempt to converse. It's kinda rude, but I don't know what else to do!!

Just pull 1 of them aside and in a confidential manner tell them you are taking medication for syphilis.
You will have peace in about 10 minutes

Just shuffle a lot of papers around and tell them in a nice way you really can't talk now...you have something you have to get done right away....
