When is spring break for college students - date wise?

It varies from college to college. Generally, they are some time between mid-March and mid-April.

Easter is March 23 this year, and since most schools either split the semester in half, which would put the break somewhere in the first half of March, or take off the week before Easter, I would put the dates from March 1-23 (our break will be March 3-7 this year, which means travel from March 1-9). In years in which Easter is well into April, that can be much more spread out.
