I'm living with a man who claims that a notice was posted in the newspaper in Boluxi, MS. . .and since he didn't respond. . .his ex wife was able to legally divorce from him.

How can I confirm that?

How can I do it FAST?

Vital StatisticsCountyState Divorces Month and Name of party seeking divorce. You can also call Biloxi Court House and ask for the party that would be able to tell you if the name of your friend had been divorced and what day. They may charge I don't know , but by going on line in the Public Vital Statistics you should be able to trace that way free of charge.

Call Biloxi, MS Chancery Court probably where divorces are filed. If you know what year, they might be able to do a search for you. Or you can pay for one of those background checks online and I think the most expensive ones will give you that information. Another option would be a private investigator.

Boo if you have to do this type of research maybe you shouldn't be with him. He should have crossed his T's and dotted his I's long before he met you. He is very irresponsible if he didn't confirm a divorce. So in essence it probably would benefit you more if he is married so you can kick him out of your home. Sounds like a "free loader" to me. I have 2 young daughters and I have thought about all sorts of scenarios that could come in the future and this is one. Sorry for being so honest but the truth sets us all free. If I ever ask a question please be very honest with me even if it's harsh.

You can call the clerk of courts in Boluxi and see if any divorce record was filed for them. May cost you, but it is public information.

Best thing is just ask him directly to provide you some kind of evidence that proves he is divorced or may be you can ask the decree that has all information and reason about their divorce with all dates.Hope this helps.Good luck.

That is a great question. I am not sure. I think this is a legal way of getting one, but you should be able to call the county and confirm it.

Check with the archives of the newspaper in question...OR call the clerk of courts in Bolouxi to see if there is ANY record of divorce (it should be a matter of public record)....
Why so urgent?
PLEASE don't be getting ready to marry someone whom you have such doubts! It'll only bring you REAL heartache...
