Well you have a problem here if you are expecting to be able to upgrade for some real speed.

I just went to the AMD site and they don't list an AMD Sempron 3000.

There is an AMD Sempron 3200 that runs at 1.8GHz with 128M cache.

The best there is is an AMD Sempron 3800 that runs at 2.2 GHz with a 256M cache.

These are older technology, low end processors and there really isn't much room to improve upon.

I have to assume your pc is a bit older, so you may want to see if you can get more RAM at a decent price. RAM is pretty cheap right now so it may be your best option.

Also, you should turn-up your PC by defragging the hard drive and shutting down programs that are starting up at boot up. These are a couple of things that will eat up your resources fast. If you need some tune-up tips, send me an email and I'll provide you with my standard ones.

Hope this helps.
