You could say that the total cost is A, which the price of the tickets is T and number of people is 8,

So A=8T

You don't have enough information to get any kind of an answer. If the price of a ticket is t, then the price of eight tickets is 8t. If you knew t, you could compute 8t. If you knew the total price of 8 tickets, you coult set 8t equal to it and solve for t.
