1902: 11 - 0 ; 644 - 12 NATIONAL CHAMPS
1903: 11 - 0 - 1 (Minnesota, a power at the time) ; 565 - 6 DITTO
1904: 10 - 0 ; 567 - 22 ...YEP, THIS YEAR TOO !!
1905: 12 - 1 ; 495 - 2 (L 2 -0 to Chicago, also a power)

That's a combined record of 55 - 1 - 1, combined total points 2821 - 42, average score per game 49.5 - .74 and 4 National Championships.

Or UM from 1970 to '78. Total record: 88 - 12 - 3, and 7 Big Ten Championships.

Depends but a lot of Alabama's teams under Bear Bryant were good!

I think what Florida did last year to USC is right up there! Completely and totally embarrassed the projected #1 team. That was a myth and Florida proved it!

STATISTICALLY (based solely on the numbers), Texas '05 is the best. But numbers aren't everything.

Using the stats is really the only non-opinion-based method for answering this question. However, you could make good arguments for a number of teams.
