China has lots and lots of authentic Chinese restaurants serving authentic Chinese food that is 100% better than anything you can find in the United States. I have a hard time eating Chinese food in the US due to it being so different from the real thing. Large cities like Beijing and Shanghai will have specialized American (and other types) restaurants such as "Grandma's Kitchen" and "The Hungry Horse" in Beijing. Total American dining. Fast food restaurants abound in most cities with KFC being the most successful. While McDonalds has a strong presence in east, it hasn't yet penetrated the northwest. Nary a one to be found in Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai or Xinjiang. There are only a few Burger Kings in the entire country. It hasn't penetrated the market yet. Our city has a few attempts at "western" restaurants (not specifically American), primarily in the pizza arena, but they aren't very good. Bon appetit!

not everywhere. just like how we have mexican and italian restaurants here in the u.s. they also have it in china. screw china just go to panda express. or pei wei. i think thats japanese though. so! its asian at least. right.
