No it doesn't. I used to take it all throughout my periods because I had really bad cramps and I was always a heavy flow-er.

Ibuprofen as well as aspirin and Aleve will actually make your period heavier. It keeps your blood from clotting normally and sometimes will actually prolong the bleeding. I would stick with acetaminophen (Tylenol) for cramps.

i dont know if it makes your period lighter but i do know that it can cause stomach ulcers
