I will be staying my timeshare at Powatan Plantation, are there any new sites or attractions to see this year?

Not sure of what's really around Williamsburg that's new except for the Ripley's Believe it or Not museum. I haven't been to this one yet, but I've been to others. They're a lot of fun. The one in Williamsburg charges around $24 a person for the museum and 4D theatre.

Also, at Busch Gardens, there is the new drop coaster, Griffon. It's pretty sweet.

If you plan to cruise to other local areas, I recommend checking out the Mariner's Museum in Newport News. They just opened up their new Monitor Center expansion this spring, and it's fantastic! If you love nautical history, this is a great place to spend a few hours. If you've ever been curious about the USS Monitor, this is the place to go. And while you're in the area, just down the road from the Mariner's Museum is the Virginia Living Museum, another place I highly recommend. If you've never been there, they have live Virginia native animals, including a pack of red wolf cubs born this past spring. Their summer exhibit is "Survivor: Jamestown". It's a maze that's themed around the Jamestown 400 celebration. It's really cool and a lot of fun. If you have kids, there's a rock wall and a zip line in the maze. Way cool.

I am not sure about new sites but when I went we had a blast! The city is beautiful and so are the ppl...when we were there they were doing an archelogical dig and it was sooo neat to see the things they were finding...they found a sidewalk where one of the gardens used to be in the 18 century!
