I have wrapped shirts in toilet paper/paper towel rolls. Just roll the shirt, put into the tube and wrap the tube with any kind of paper. Leave the ends long and make the tube look like a Christmas Cracker.

I did this for my friends birthday party last year, and she had a blast. :D
First, just take some newspaper and wrap it. Aluminum foil, newspaper, whatever. Just get it covered.
Next take duct tape, and completely wrap the thing. Do several layers. I suggest getting the brightly colored duct tapes - blue/yellow/pink, and mixing them up.
Make sure she opens yours last, and if she uses scissors make sure you tell her to be VERY careful, and cut it slowly. :]
It'll be all anyone can talk about when someone brings up the gifts!

why dont u cut up some material say from a top u dont want to wear anymore? wrap it up in that, make sure it a nice colour of course, get some string and tie it together then arrange some more material in a different shade, cut them up into different shapes and stick them onto it? or if u aint got string gather the material up at the top of the gift bunch it all up together, use abit more material to tie it all up and so on just use ur imagination :)

Roll it up and wrap it in some old Sunday comics ... tie it with some 'rope' and put some 'leaves or flowers' on it and MAKE YOUR OWN CARD and you'll have 'the best and best wrapped gift' around.

Put a ribbon around the clothes and tie it in bow. Put the clothes in a shopping bag (preferably the same place where you bought it from). Tie another ribbon around the 2 handles of the bag and voila! You're done!
By the way, it's better if you don't put the clothes in a huge bag or it'll look empty when your friend looks inside it.

For my niece and nephew, just to be funny, I have wrapped clothing items for them in cereal and popcorn boxes.
One time I wrapped a shirt for my nephew in an oatmeal box too.

Fabric, a t-shirt,things you can get at a dollar store like a towel, tablecloth. P:ut it in a basket. Get a teddy bear and put the item of clothing on the bear. You could put dollar store earrings on the bear to make it cute.

if you fold the item in half then roll it into a tube, then fold the tube in half and tie a string around the bottom it will look like a flower. or just use plain white paper to wrap it and then decorate it yourself.

Wrap it in toilet paper. Just hope it doesn't rain or that you get caught in a sprinkler on the way to giving it to them.

Do a search for towel origami. That's what they do on the cruise ships when they roll the towels into animal shapes. You could probably fold the clothes into squares then roll them up and make it into an animal shape.
