Does Mike Mussina have a no trade clause? Can the Yankees trade him? Does Jason Giambi have a full no trade clause like A-Rod?

According to Cot's baseball contracts, Giambi has a full no trade clause. Mussina has a no trade clause, but it doesn't say it's a full no trade clause. He also has "no trade protection". I don't know if that's another way of saying no trade clause or not.

The guy who said that it doesn't matter, because their contracts make them untradeable is right. The yankees have to pay the price for buying those veteran players, and the price is that if they don't perform, you have to eat the contracts. Mussina won't get dealt, because he has a few years left, and he makes too much for any other team to get him, and Giambi is in the same boat, but he also has all the steroid controversy that nobody wants to deal with.

To be fair, as a red sox fan, the red sox messed up too. Signing Lugo, and especially Drew to contracts that are WAY too big, and too long, they won't be able to trade them.

Doesn't matter if Mussina has a no trade clause or not - NOBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WILL TAKE HIM!!! He's a shot, old starter making a ton of money. He is untradeable unless for another guy in the same situation, in which case, what would be the point.

Also Giambi cannot be traded for the same reason. Yankees really dig themselves into holes by throwing their money around like that.

Looks up and sees a Redsox fan dissing me Yanks.
Mussina has a no trade clause which lists several teams he could be traded to. Giambi has a full no trade clause which means we are stuck with him for another year.

I'm not sure if either of them has no trade clauses, but the trade deadline passed on July 31st. Also, each of them makes way too much money for other teams to afford. If the Yanks traded them, they would probably have to pay a portion of their salaries.

as a 10/5* man he can veto any trade.

But who the hell would want Mussina at this point, anyway?

*10 years in major leagues, 5 years with current team.
