Love is very important. People's perseptions of love can change over time, and maybe it should change. Love cannot stay the same forever. As for me, I am dating a man with three children, so love has changed a lot for me, since the "love of my life" that I pictured in my dreams.... comes with three kids from another woman.
I don't even know if I really answered your question. All I know is that there are two very powerful emotions, the only two emotions in the world. And if you think about it, these two emotions controlls almost everything you do. Love and Fear. Love controlls everything I do. I try to not let Fear get in the way.
So, to answer your question. Love is the most important feeling in the world. :) Now, what do you think?? :)

I don't think it's the most important thing in the world. The most important thing is happiness. I don't need love. I just want to be happy.

Love can be the best or the worst thing to ever happen to you. I shut my emotions off for a while after a really bad marriage. When I did let feeling surface, I felt a lot of pain as well as pleasure. It took a while until I could trust someone enough to be in a relationship again. I'll go for repect, trust.....

I am not sure what you are asking.
it sounds like you are asking what is the meaning of life.
in my view;
love IS the best thing in life. when your time comes, to lay in your grave,..it is best to be remembered as a loving human than a mean s.o.b;;;
we have only those things that we can not touch, non tangibles.
all else is left behind for those still alive.
memories,...love,....human bonds......THAT is our ONLY legacy we have to give that can't be taxed or taken away.

Love is an integral part of everyone's lives. But it should not be the be-all, end-all of anyone's life. It should be integrated into the life of everyone. But it should never be the primary focus.
