Shhhh! You can't say anything against St. Billary. It's against the DNC code of conduct.
Spleen - did Newt commit perjury?

I'm very liberal, and I wasn't impressed with Clinton. Sure I voted for him, because Bush 41 and Bob Dole had nothing I wanted, but Clinton didn't deliver much, either. National health care didn't happen, and I can't recall another major proposal of his. Yes, the last six years of his administration were hampered by Gingrich's "Contract on America," but I don't see Bush 43 having problems getting around an opposing Congress, so Clinton was a rather ineffective President, IMHO. The morals stuff doesn't bother me in the least - I don't care what he does in his private time - but he simply wasn't far left enough to meet my expectations. The issue today, which conservatives don't seem to grasp, is that Clinton is OVER, seven years gone, while the country reels from the malice, greed, and incompetence of THEIR boy. The present is different from the past, can you see the difference? One is over, the other is still happening. When the Right figures that out, they'll wake up to all the damage that needs to be repaired and help us fix it.

Ha, you're damned right I'm one of those Clinton supporters. This country was in alot better shape than when that idiot from Texas took office. I'm here in TX and he wasn't that great of a governor. There is nothing to his legacy here...the same can/will be said of his tenure in office. But the person who warranted this discussion is one of the morons who helped re-elect this clown. This country is in a shambles. I'm not Republican or Democrat. I don't play that game, but call it for what it is...he's an inept President. The man is 2 tacos short of a combination platter.
Bush has had almost 8 years to get things turned around in this country...and it's almost as if we have stood still.
I'm sorry but 9/11 was on Bush's watch. Just as in the corporate world....you don't rest on the CEO who is no longer there...you go over everything he missed to ensure your tenure is up to standards. Blame as you will...9/11 was all on Bush's watch.

This kind of angry language puts a solid wall between the left and the right making it incapable to have a good conversation. So I would like to ask everyone to calm down. Clinton isn't to blame for 9/11, neither is Bush. A bunch of pissed of Saudis are to blame for 9/11. We don't think that what a President does in his personal life matters. We just want him to do his job well. We don't think he is, "God's gift to American Politics." We just think did a good job a president. Personally, I don't care about a Presidents personal life. If Bush was caught humping a secretary, it would change my view of him as a President. What would change my view of him as President, is if he started to unify the nation .
-Also I would like to thank you for reading a different view from yours.

How do "conservatives" defend the worst President of all time? But-but-but-but-but Clinton! They're both criminals. Get over it. The Clinton's vacation with the Bushes and the menfolk hang out at Bohemian Grove together. The whole Bush vs. Clinton thing is a farce. They play for the same team. It is professional wrestling. Wake up.

Actually several liberals I know don't think of him as a god but as a much better president than the current one. Clinton accomplished some things unlike the current one. The ruthless attacks by his enemies were thwarted and those enemies continue to discredit him years after he has left office. Although their guy has had more than an opportunity to set things right, in their minds, not much has changed. Even with a rubber stamp congress not willing to spend millions on a kangaroo trial the current one has accomplished very little that is positive and a lot of negative. They try scare tactics to discredit Clinton and his wife but Americans are becoming wise to the scare tactics and aren't falling for that stuff any more. I wonder how the Bushies will react to a Democratic landslide in 2008. The nation and the world will party while Bushies sit in their dark little corners and sulk.
Personal attacks and name calling don't get people to agree with you. Common sense and logic will. Try it some time if you know how.

Well Moronic cons like you explain why Bush was caught so off guard. Why is it that you morons never mention how Clinton left a comprehensive terrorism plan that your girl condi ignored? Why is it that none of you morons ever mention the fact that Bush received a PDR stating that "Bin Laden determined to strike within US" a month before 9/11?Just going back and enjoying the rest of his vacation? Why is it that you morons always blame Clinton about 9/11? When Clinton never once blamed Daddy Bush for the WTC bombing less then two months after he took office.
Last but not least where is Osama? Remember your hero said he would bring him to Justice? At least Clinton brought the '93 bombers to court!

I think the question you have to ask, why and who are these alleged defenders defending him from? Because defense implies that someone or thing is attacking him, hence the instigator and starter of it all. So the fixation is really all about the no life attacker at this point.

That guy is like a saint to them. He was not that great of a president and I would go as far as saying he was a national embrassment. I lived in Germany when Clinton was smoking cigars with White House interns. We got laughed at little. He also did not have horns though, like some more exterme republicans try to paint him. I would say watch out for the guy's wife, she is real ball buster!

I don't think any human being is perfect. And Bill Clinton had his issues. But the issues he had were ones that should have been between himself, his wife and his God. Not investigated by the Congress. But the truth is, he ran this country very well, balanced the budget and didn't embroil us in a war in the Middle East we can't win. For those things, he is to be admired.

Some times I think every Liberal I encounter is a Liberal who doesn't think, period. Even ones with some obvious brains, like Al Franken, how has he convinced himself that everything the left proposes is the correct path to follow?
Not that the libs are always wrong, every once in a while they have something worthwhile to offer, but for the life of me, I can't remember what the last one was.
