Try Macy's Woman, and Neiman Marcus the bigger size, also Land's End. Go for it, there are sales now!
Now, go into both stores, get everything you can gather, even though you may not think it is right and bring a friend, or mom along to assist you. They will give you their opinions.

I am a little bigger as well, and I have found that light pieces that can be layered work well to camouflage the tough areas. Also, when looking for a dress (I think every woman, no matter what, needs at least one great dress), something with gather at the middle (like a wrap, or faux wrap) can really be flattering.
I don't think that you HAVE to wear men's clothing and that you may be surprised by how good you could feel if you found some great fitting plus-sized women's clothes. I have included some links to what type of clothing I mean. I hope they help

First, 24-26W is WOMEN'S, not waist or width.
1] dress to fit your shape. You can wear man-tailored styles, but anyone your size will have too much bosom and too much booty going on to fit in any men's office wear.
1] tops - V, scoop, or boat necks that fit trimly, not loose or tight [ skims your body ], halters. Best length tops hit top hipbone, or wrist. No big lapels [ makes bosom look even bigger ].
2] pants - flat fronts, on the hip [ no high or very low waists ], straight leg or boot cut [ no tapered or skinny ]. No pleats [ make your tummy bigger ].
3] Single breasted , princess, or belted jackets, coats. No big lapels [ makes bosom bigger ]. No waist length puffers.
Collect fitted [ women's ] Tees in all your favorite brights and pastels, then branch out to button shirts.
Buy pants/jackets in your best neutrals - navy, gray, black; or caramel, olive, coffee brown. Get 'office' belts and shoes [ lots of great flats out there right now. ] to match your pants, in plain or different textures.
Get a few pairs of great fitting jeans in different washes or cuts, for less casual time off. Collect some fun color sneakers/trainers.

Well, you can't make it sexy if you are dressing masculine. Maybe try the girls section in some of these stores... Or, if you need to look professional for the work place, Eddie Bauer or Express may have some nice options for you - even in you still want to wear men's clothing. Just make sure you try stuff on to make sure it fits.

Go to LaneBryant.com or Torrid.com - don't wear mens clothes and nothing too baggy, it just makes you look frumpy and heavier. Dress to accentuate your shape.

well, it seems you know your style and size.
you're preppy, and plus size.
go check a couple stores, try on clothing etc.
the people there are usually pretty helpful ...
P.S. marg_harborr; 24-26W is for width, not WAIST. sheesh.
