While ignorance may not be exactly bliss, I think it would be better than knowing. Then, there would be no point in attempting to stick to, or even have principles. No way, foreknowledge, I think, defeats the very point of life.
I remember a passage from Dune where Paul is depressed because he knows every possible outcome of every possible future, so every step he takes is known before he takes it, right down to allowing his wife's assassination because he knows it is the best possible future she can have, since he knows all possible futures.
Nah. Give me the surprise around the corner. It gives me reason to strive for betterment of myself. If you knew exactly the point you would reach, would you bother?

If I would know what was going to happen to me, I would try to change the bad things. But since all the things you experience make you the way you are, I would end up as a completely different person and you never know what kind of. So ignorance is bliss.

Ignorance is bliss. What would happen if you could change the future? Nadda. Because the future would have allowed for that in the past!

I would like to know more to better pave my way into a good future, to better enjoy my remaining life-time, to have the joy of a more glowing life.
Ignorance might have been a bliss for those for whom the knowledge that they have is something very painful.
Ignorance is bliss to those who are appreciated as the meek in the Scriptures. Ignorance in others is bliss and a fount of riches for those preachers and astute and power-seeking leaders who want to govern the life and the minds of others.

The point is, I continuosly shape my future. If I understand how my past has shaped my present, I will also understand how my present shapes the future. Thus, in one way, I can already indirectly get to know my future by understanding my past and present.
And, ignorance is not bliss, rather it's the main obstacle to bliss.

Many people have the wonderful ability to read the future and predict many things. However, it must be remember that the future is in our hands, we have the ability to either make it a good future or a bad one for each one of us.
If this is true, then it means that in order for me to know my own future I must create a peaceful, happy and wonderful present which means that I can continue the peaceful, happy and wonderful things into the future.
This also means that I do not currently know my future as I am still trying to create a peaceful, happy and wonderful surrounding!.

I'm with Oscar Wilde, who once said, "Ignorance is bliss."
I know damn all about anything but always have an opinion anyway.
As for the future, it's entirely in the lap of the Gods.

I find that days that I manage to successfully close myself off to the news/media, I am much happier than on days that I do not. Ignorance is bliss but unfortunately some of us have to deal with reality so the ignorant wont destroy themselves.

I'd stress too much over the future if I knew what it was going to happen and when.
Ignorance is bliss in this case, I think :)
