Can you trully say that you are ALIVE?

What does trully mean?

I have as much evidence of my own life as I require to convince myself that am, indeed, alive. Since all other criteria is subjective, as far as the argument goes, what more do I need?

If you tell me I do not exist, do I not feel indignation? If I am not alive, who is arguing this point with you? (Not that we are actually arguing any point, but if we were..) If my argument is simply the construction of some other's fantasy, then I have life in that fantasy.

Even though the Matrix is not real, you can still die there (as per the movie). The same is true of life. Since I believe that I do, in fact, exist, then I have all the proof of my existence that I require. I exist and live because I refuse to anything but. If that is only the drive of a character in a book (for example) then I exist THERE, as much as I will ever need to.

I wrote this a couple of weeks ago, but it should serve as an answer:

Last night my love cooked while I went for wine. We sat down with the two boys and talked and laughed all through the dinner. Afterward she and I retired to the living room while our two sons played happily.

We Talked about the little things that made up our day, sharing some nice Australian wine and an occasional kiss. I remember the kisses. I can still taste them on my lips.

Once everyone was in bed, I sat up late doodling in my sketch book, after deciding that I wasn't in the mood for a whole chapter of reading. The stars wheeled overhead. Later the Moon came out to play with them amongst the clouds. At some point I slipped off to a night rich with dreams.

i have the days when i think that i'm dying inside, but i also have the days that i feel so alive, days when just stepping outside to inhale the breathe of fresh air and standing with the sun shining can make me so happy and thankful for another day.

but the way i see it, most of all, is that every day i woke up to a so-called another day, still being able to breathe and experience more, still given the opportunity to learn and grow, and that it's a gift. i'm alive every day, but how i feel about being alive is how i make of it. and i intend to make myself feel "alive" everyday by not letting myself down.

As long as I know that I have the power to keep going forward in life...To learn and grow, and triumph in victories both large and small...To care for myself and for others...And to appreciate the little things in life. The smiles, the laughs, little conversations, gestures of kindness of any size... I will know that yes, I am truly alive

breathing is just non-stop for me

and i just love being alive.
