Did you recently experience a power outage?
It is possible that your computer short circuited and it corrupted your system. If your windows does not start up normally, thats a sign that you need to reformat your computer because something got corrupted. Or maybe your computer is kinda old and you need to replace it?
When you boot up, go to your BIOS options and make sure it reads your CD drive first before it reads your C drive. Restart your computer after saving settings. Put your Windows XP CD in and do a complete REFORMAT. REFORMAT your hard drive and install Windows again.
You should not have any problems after you reformat.
Make sure you use your battery most of the time. If you use a power adapter, make sure its plugged into a surge protector. When theres a storm and you face a power outage, it might short circuit your computer and corrupt it.

Based on what you assert. It's tough to determine what the difficulty is. You didn't say whether or not you're utilising High pace or dial or wi-fi. If you're utilising a wi-fi web, it might be sign barrier difficulty. If you're utilising High pace, it might be spyware and adware difficulty, if dial up, might be bandwidth difficulty. If you had been utilising you laptop good enough earlier than. I do not consider it is laptop difficulty. Modem vigor surge difficulty may be viable.
