I am in the worst gap a single woman can find herself in at the age of 55 , not old enough for SS and work is getting harder and harder all the time, Im trying to make ends meet until 65 at least.

I do have a pension from the organization where I worked. It barely covers my health insurance premiums but I'm glad to have it. I'm not old enough to be eligible for Social Security.

I do! Thank God I got to retire while I was still covered. I think that the age of the defined-benefit pension is drawing to a close.

I have my regular retirement pension, and a type of 401K. I won't request the 401K money until I turn 65 (Lord be willing).

Not me, yet. I'm busy earning the money my daughter's pay me to stay here by child sitting their kids to enable them to work every day. I think it's an equal trade (my three grandsons can be heathens!)
