I am in the worst gap a single woman can find herself in at the age of 55 , not old enough for SS and work is getting harder and harder all the time, Im trying to make ends meet until 65 at least.

I do have a pension from the organization where I worked. It barely covers my health insurance premiums but I'm glad to have it. I'm not old enough to be eligible for Social Security.

I do! Thank God I got to retire while I was still covered. I think that the age of the defined-benefit pension is drawing to a close.

I have my regular retirement pension, and a type of 401K. I won't request the 401K money until I turn 65 (Lord be willing).

well, I draw Social Security payments, but I would not call it much of a pension. .. that's for sure

Not me, yet. I'm busy earning the money my daughter's pay me to stay here by child sitting their kids to enable them to work every day. I think it's an equal trade (my three grandsons can be heathens!)

I do from teaching elementary school for 33 years!! Not old enough to withdraw my 401K funds.
