Do you really want us to spoil it for you?

OK....

Bruce Willis plays David Dunn, a security guard whose marriage is slowly falling apart and who can't shake the feeling that something is missing from his life. On a trip home from a job interview in New York, the train he is on derails. He is the sole survivor of the accident; and what's more, he walks away without so much as a scratch.

After the memorial service for the victims of the crash, Dunn is contacted by Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson), a man with a debilitating genetic disorder who owns an art gallery that displays comic book art. Elijah is more than a little obsessed with the mythology he believes is hidden within the stories of comics, and believes that David survived because he is one of the real-life superheroes these stories are based upon.

Gradually, we learn with David that he actually IS an extraordinary individual. He's never been sick. He's never been injured. And he has a knack for recognizing when people have done something wrong that borders on clairvoyance. And as David comes to accept his power and his place in the world as a guardian and protector, he finds that missing piece of his own life that has caused him such sadness.

I own this movie but I can't find it right now. It stars Samuel Jackson and Bruce Willis. It is about a man who grew up as a child with a devastating disease (Samuel Jackson). He had brittle bones so he couldn't play like other children. Bruce Willis survives a train wreck and is the only one who lives. So Mr. Jackson seeks him out to find out why he didn't die, as he has sought out many people previously. Jacksons' charactor is a demented comic book writer who thinks it's unfair that some people keep living while he suffers. I don't think there is a moral to this story but it kept me rivited to the chair, thats why I own it.

Story: Security guard Don Dunn survives a train wreck without a scratch and meets the mysterious wheel-chair bound Isaac (I think that was his name) who tells him who--and what--he really is.

Moral (two-fold): 1) search your soul to discover your purpose in life
2) be true to your self

edit:

erm....okay--it looks as if I have both the names incorrect. *laugh* It's been a while since I saw the movie....
