Well the past 2 - 3 days i've had slight pain in the pelvic and lower stomach area (sometimes upper legs) and it feels like gas pains......well i did have some gas but it still wont go away...i've had a couple contractions that were actually stronger yesterday.........what does this mean??

That you should call your doctor and tell them the symptoms you are having.

you didnt say how far along you were & what # pregnancy this was..that helps to know. it sounds like maybe baby is settling deep into your pelvis & is pressing on some nerves (the shooting pains down your legs)...that is a good thing that baby is getting ready to come.
