Easy, very easy. During that chapter what we see are three souls (Harry's, Dumbledore's and Tom Riddle's) Harry's and Dumbledore's are in perfect shape because they are not corrupted, so that baby-like creature is the representation of Tom Riddle's soul or what's left of it.

This, of course, is my opinion based upon what I read in the book during this part and during Harry's duel with Voldemort.
The child, shoved away under a seat and forgotten was Lord Voldemort, or rather, the pieces of his soul that had been destroyed. The flayed, or unfinished look, that the child had was partly because parts of Voldemort's soul were still living but more because Voldemort himself was unfinished. During the final battle Harry tried to get Tom Riddle to feel remorse but he refused. What Dumbledore realized, and Harry came to realize, is that the greatest magic of all is love. It was love that saved Harry from death as a child and again in the Forbidden Forest, the love of his mother Lily. When Voldemort tried to possess Harry he found himself in great pain, more than he had ever felt, that pain was the love in Harry. Voldemort rejected love and all things related to it.
What the child represented was Voldemort's fate without love, to be unfinished, shoved away and forgotten like a piece of unwanted luggage. Trapped forever, unable to go onward and unable to go back.

My personal reading was that it was the potential creature that Voldemort would become if he he used the killing curse on Harry a second time. And this time, forever. You recall in "Goblet of Fire" that Harry was transported to a cemetery, where he saw Wormtail or some one lower a hideous, skinless baby into a cauldron. Harry did not know what it was, but he instinctively prayed that it would drown. It was Voldemort, who emerged from the cauldron with a new corporeal body.

The bit of Voldemort's Soul that was in Harry was killed, and i'm pretty sure that's what it was. it's been over a month since i read it so i'd have to reread it for a more detailed answer.

It wasn't a baby... it was Voldemort... do you remember when he first took for he looked like a decrepit baby... that was the last of his soul lying on the ground... when he "killed" Harry that was what was left of Voldemort... he cut his soul up so many times that's all that was left of a human form

That was Harry Potter's illegitimate kid from his dalliance with Luna Lovegood and Ginny Weasley in a crazy party back at the dorm.
