For lunch, there's a great deli at the Flamingo Hilton on the strip- it's like a NY delicatessen. There's also a fun food court at NY,NY restaurant that's fun for lunch.
There's also Slots a Fun which has their famous $1 huge hot dog and a $1 shrimp cocktail. That's right on the strip near Circus Circus. There's a fun little restaurant (like diner food) at Circus Circus called the Carousel. Good prices and good eats.
If you want a buffet, there's a really good international buffet (of good quality) at the Rio Hotel (off the strip on Flamingo Road).
At the Gold Coast hotel (also off the strip on Flamingo Road next to the Rio), there's a 24 hour diner-type restaurant called the Monterey Room. We've gone there for years. It's a place where the locals go. They have great specials like a $10.95 Texas T-Bone Steak Special or if you want a sandwich they have that too. The Gold Coast also has a great ice cream parlor for dessert.
Enjoy!

I live in Las Vegas and I love going to the Steak house at the Union Plaza. It is older Vegas, but clean, reasonably priced and overlooks the Fremont Street Experience. They even pipe in the music for the shows from the street on the hour. There is a live piano player at the bar and the atmosphere (and prices) reminds me of the late sixties, early seventies. Check with the hotel to make sure it is still open, as I have hear they may be closing this great vintage restaurant.

Main Street Station has a good buffet. Not as good as Bellagio but lots cheaper.
There is a great Thai restaurant called "Lotus of SIam" that is off the strip but gets great reviews and the food is fantastic.
The Golden Gate downtown has an incredible breakfast (although we usually eat it between midnight and 2 in the morning). We get the ham and eggs and its just a few bucks and extremely tasty. You can also get a passable shrimp cocktail for .99.

Sorry Tasha, but ESPNZone is closed. (First link) Only open in Anaheim and Los Angeles. Eating in Vegas for $10-15 is tough. All places at second link are $15 and under. Third link are dining bargains. Fourth link is for Ellis Island. All specialties are under $15. Breakfasts all under $10. OPen 24*7. Located behind Bally's and Paris on Koval.

Go to some of the small places to eat on the outskirts. If you want a great Cuban restaurant there is one on Fremont. Also you can get dining certificates at Restaurant.com for places in vega and all over the country. Look at there list of places. They have some great ojes in vegas..The best place off the strip is the Golden Steer located on Sahara. Very classy and peaceful.. Great historic atmosphere as well. This one is expensive. All in all you cant go wrong on restaurant.com. I have been using it for years.. Best to you

One of the best places we found to eat is at Ellis Island . It is connected with a Super 8 motel. They serve a steak dinner that is not on the menu for $4.95 with all the fixings. The rest of the menu is very inexpensive and the food is very good. Breakfast is also a big plus there. I hope you get a chance to try it.

From http://govegas.about.com/od/cehapeatinginlv/tp/tpfoodcourt.htm:
"5. The Food Court at the Venetian
A clear alternative to the expensive options at the Venetian. Walk into the Grand Canal Shoppes and you get plenty of options to keep the cost down.
Your options: Bella Panini, GG Santi Venetzia, La Italiana Kitchen, Munari Produce, Nathans, California Juice Bar, Panda Express, Shake n’ Burger, Towers Deli, Wasabi Jane, Coffee Bean"
I went to the Venetian food court when i was down there at CES a coupla years ago. That was pretty affordable mall food stuff and I was still able to continue with my touring and shopping.
Also, you can check out Yelp.com, and type in Las Vegas, NV at the top to search for general reviews.
Found these on there (many more you can see thru search):
