You know what I strongly agree with you. I don't care if no one likes Albert but he has ben amazing his whole career. He has carried the Cardinals from almost last place to 3 games behind in the NL central. I think he is the reason they won the Championship last year. This beast is dominant and he will most likely to break Barry Bond's record. Yes the pitching has been good for the Cards but Albert Pujols is a great player at the plate and in the field. HOF first ballot. Thanks

I don't see how Pujols is carrying the team - his numbers over the past month are no different than he's done all season. The difference for the Cards is that they're finally getting some consisting pitching and others are contributing offensively. And the Cards' playoff comeback has less to do with them playing well (they're only 12-8 in their last 20 games) than with the fact that the Cubs and Brewers are collapsing.
For a team leader, I'd probably go with a steadying presence like Jason Varitek. He's not a great player or vocal on the field, but he's a leader in the clubhouse and keeps the Sox focused. He's also been doing it for several seasons, and he's a well-deserving captain.

Vlad Guerrero. He's the coolest, and his mom cooks Dominican food for the team.
Big Daddy Vladdy! He's the bomb, and a class act.

Probably Barry Bonds,
JUST KIDDING!
I think it is A-Rod. He has been consistently great in New York, and the fans love him.
