China and Russia are geographic neighbors and so it is only natural that they seek cooperation within the ranks of their military forces. Cooperation as opposed to a diplomatic breakdown implies stability of peace... globally. Although both China and Russia have ties with Iran it is important to remember that both countries seek to warm -not to cool- relations with the US. The west will continue to grow an economic courtship of China as well as a political / ideological courtship of Russia. Russian/Chinese combat drills would actually introduce China to some of the west’s ideas of conventional combat as well. Above all I think strengthened ties serve as a pitch for Russia’s military hardware sales. Keep in mind that China is amoung Mikoyan and Sukhoi’s best customers.
I'll also point out that both countries are dominant forces in the new pact and are skeptical and paranoid of each other's influence on the other pact member states so this is nothing like the soviet centred Warsaw Pact.

Quite a few years ago (after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War) I read an article in the newspaper. It stated that Russia and China signed an agreement to never allow our civlization to interfere or influence their's. Nothing was ever said about that either.

This has been going for a couple of years yet unreported by the media. It astounds me how ignorant we are of China's activities. Russia, Iran, and China have an alliance with weapons and oil agreements since at least 2004. It seems logical that Russia and China would be allies since they're so close and Putin condems the Iraq war which pleases Iran. Also, remember both China and Russia are in the Security Council with veto powers in the U.N. which gives them authority to veto any sanctions on Iran they don't like. Those three countries are our enemies in my eyes, they can't be trusted.

I think Russia is afraid of China so if you can't beat them join them. Both of them together is something of a problem to us,but nothing we couldn't handle .I to believe the vick.case keeps the public from paying much attention to the military exercises. After all the media thinks sports celebrity are more important than the welfare of the nation.

it doesn't matter even if china and russia teamed up and surprised attacked us we could win, that is if were supposed to.
We (americans) live in a beautiful country, and the reason we make a bigger deal about the vick guy is because we should, we shouldn't have to worry about russia and china, thats the responsibility of our government, and they do a good job keeping it that way dont you think?
They hide stuff for a reason, one of which is to keep the civilians from panic, and the others are none of your business
