Yes, deposits are FDIC insured. I've been with them for years and love everything about them.

Yes it is. I have been a customer since Feb 2006. You can do on-line transactions plus you can call a 800 toll free number. Also, you will receive monthly statements in the mail. Accounts are FDIC insured and you will get higher interest that your local bank.

Safe as in they'll give you what they promised in dollar amounts, yes.

Safe as in your dollars will keep up with inflation and retain its purchasing power, I personally don't think so.
