When i was pregnant with my first i called the doctor about everything. This being your first the doctors will expect you to call about every little thing. Bleeding is common in the first tri-mester. Some women still have their periods the whole nine months their pregnant. If i were you i would call your doctor, just to make yourself feel better about the whole thing. The worst thing he/she can have you do is come in for a check up. Good Luck.

I am only 6 weeks pregnant but had the same problem. I called my doctor and he said only be concerned if it was a lot of red. And also pointed out that if I had a blood infection that blood could be showing up when i'm wiping but not be related to my pregnancy.

If you are worried, call your doctor... it can't hurt to ask

Just normal changes, you're probably doing just fine. Now is the time to find a doctor that you trust. You may have to meet several doctors in order to find the best one. You will go through so many changes, and weird ups and downs. Find a doctor that you really like, and do lots of reading!

no. light spotting in early pregnancy is quite common. in fact, there are many other reasons why u may be spotting, and it doesn't have to do with miscarriage. it can be that your uterus was irritated, and many more other reasons that i forgot right now.

as long as the spotting doesn't become a regular heavy flow, you are not passing clots, or you are not having cramping or an urge to push, you are fine.

just run it by your doc at your next appointment, but no need to call him now.

spotting is pretty typical, but as alot have suggested i would contact your doctor just to be on the safe side. There are alot of things you will experience that will scare you, and have you wondering if its normal. If you question anything you may be feeling call your doctor to be safe after all that is what he/she is there for =) Good luck! and i am sure everything is fine!!!

Yes, I would call your doctor. Any sign of blood is a sign to call the doctor. BUT...some people do spot so dont worry. As long as its not heavy and dark I think you will be fine.

Don't worry too much... Do you have a fever? It could just be your normal time for a period so your body is changing and that might just be it.
I would call the doctor anyway and tell them you are having some bleeding.
Good luck!

I am on my first also, i had spotting my 5th week, 7th week, and a little on 8th week after sexual intercorse, so my doctor has been seeeing me everyweek, we do vaginal ultrasounds, everything is okAy:) but i'd advise to call your doctor let him know whats going on and he'll prolly bring you in. But ive also heard its very common for spotting during pregnancy as long as its not cramping up,clotting, bloody show. But still call.
good luck:0)

Vaginal bleeding can occur frequently in the first trimester of pregnancy and may not be a sign of problems. But bleeding that occurs in the second and third trimester of pregnancy can often be a sign of a possible complication. Bleeding can be caused by a number of reasons.
