what if the ex girlfriend and your boyfriend IM each other about once a week and occasionally she removes clothes. Also your boyfriend has some videos and pictures of her from when they were together that he masturbates to and that the ex does not mind that he has kept. Keep in mind, she(the ex) is also in a relationship with someone else, and lives literally thousands of miles away in completely different time zones. How is this any worse than masturbating to Playboy magazines, or internet videos; would you also consider that cheating?

1.What doesn't make sense is if you didn't want to be with your ex, (operative word being: ex) then why the need to have this relationship with her now?
2. Obvious point. Would it bother you if your girlfriend was doing the same with her ex-boyfriend? Your answer to that question would be what you need to consider. No matter how many people you ask, it will boil down what you and your girlfriend feel is comfortable between you. The opinion of myself or anyone else on this answer site doesn't really hold any bearing on YOUR relationships.
3. If my boyfriend had to be sexually aroused by his ex my advice to him would be, I think you should be with her and not me. It is a waste of time being with someone who doesn't "rock your boat" so to speak. If I were in your shoes, I would find it a waste of my time to spend it getting aroused by an ex when I have a perfectly good boyfriend there with me.
4. If you wanted to dig deeper you might even want to look at whether or not you have a fear of being alone or the need for constant attention. That is something you'd have to be honest with yourself about.

Sex with any other REAL woman is cheating, even cybersex. I suspect your ex would not be "ex" if she walked into the same hotel as you on a business trip, you'd then be asking us "is it still cheating if you sleep with someone you've already slept with before" dont ask us to help you justify that you still want your ex but think your girl is wrong to be p'd off about it. Also when it comes to it "cheating" is defined by how the person you're doing it to sees it, not how you see it.

It is cheating. Cyber-sex is still sex with another person.
And though physically the pics and video is no different then playboys and such, it is the fact that he has been with her. If you are in a new relationship then you should love and respect her enough to get rid of those things.

It's different from jacking off to Playboy because he actually had an emotional relationship with the girl at one time.
Personally, I wouldn't have a problem with it. And I would expect that my guy shouldn't have a problem with me doing the same. But you both have to agree on the boundaries that are set.

yes - it is cheating. If my boyfriend did this I would be devastated. I would end the relationship.
It is very different to Playboy etc and I think you know that. With general porn you are meerly looking at strangers bodys. What you are doing involves a relationship of sorts - with regular communication and innuendo. CHEAT!

I would never put up with an ex sending their naked parts over the internet to someone else to get off on. I mean if he uses a webcam too that would be ultimate cheating. Its an act of betrayal doing anything sexual with someone who is you so technically it is cheating.

Yes its cheating with your ex while your with someone else ...that you should be having sex with her instead. You need to wipe out your ex's e mail address and quit all that .. this is an ex and its different than a total stranger in a porn movie or magizine.

I think if you are questioning it then you must feel like you are cheating. I think you should break up with your gf and have cyber sex with the ex 7 nights a week, with a clear conscious.
