I was off the net for a long while and when I came came back the feature ws gone. Free speech is a messy business and I know many anonymous posters (trolls and troublemakers)were selfishly abusing and misusing the feature, but many more like me, were not. Why do we have "to throw the happy baby out with the dirty bathwater"? I do not consider Yahoo Answers as an adequate substitute for the removal of that interactive free speech feature of the latest version of the public forum made possible by the existence of the internet..

You have been gone awhile. Seems like Yahoo removed the discussion boards about a year ago. They did give several weeks if not months of warning and claimed it was due to the problems you cite. They did promise, however, something new to replace them. I'm still waiting. I miss them.

I'm not really sure when it happened, but it was the troublemakers, the trolls and the spammers, not to mention, the topics were always straying off into the wide unknown, mean, cruel, even nasty, links to porn and hate sites were all over the place and the news discussion came to an abrupt end.

This was Yahoo's way of bringing it under closer monitoring.

Don't know . But since discontinuing Yahoo! news comment feature they have become my internet provider and can't find one single reason to bother to log on, without it.
Very dissatisfied , dissapointed and bored with Yahoo, I'm sorry to say.
Yahoo!, please give me a reason to like (and use) my new internet provider!
