Foreign exchange students staying at my house for a year?

Next sunday a 17 year old girl from northern italy is coming to stay with my family for the school year. I have a 15 year old daughter and a soon to be 14 year old son and 4 dogs. We already have a room set up for the foreign exchange student. is there anything i should know about foreign exchange students or that i should get for her?
