There are several printings of this issue, heres how to hell the diff. By the number, there may or may not be a roman numeral. eg II, III, IV. The Numeraled ones are the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th printings, which are worth less that a 1st printing, which will have no roman numeral.
1st-> lists $7 mint
II--> $4 mint
III thru IV--> Cover price mint

Mint is an unflawed, undamaged book! Worse the condition, lesser the value :)

This comic was worth lots when it first came out cuz it is the Death of Superman. I remember it selling for over $100 within the first week. However, once Superman came back to life, the value of the comic plummeted to near worthlessness. I bought a mint condition first edition (the hardest edition to find when it was first released) a few years ago on Ebay for $5 even though its market value is $16.

The book value depending on which edition you have ranges from $16 down to $4 except for the platinum edition which I'll almost guarantee you don't have. The $16 edition comes sealed in a black bag with a bloody Superman symbol. If your copy doesn't have that, then it is either $8 or $4. You can check out this link and look through the different cover pictures to determine which one you have:

Just scroll down to issue #75 and click on the "VIEW" buttons to see the cover pictures. You should be able to tell which one you have based on the color of the "SUPERMAN" title.

As for what you can sell it for, don't expect much. Like I said, once Superman came back to life the issue became nearly worthless. I'd say $5 if you're lucky but even that is a huge stretch.

It depends on what kind of condition it is in. If it is in mint or near mint then it could be worth a few bucks. The best way to find out how much it is worth would be to go to a comic book shop or a bookstore andlook for a book that is called the overstreet comic book guide. This book will let you know how much your comic is worth.

Ebay them. Comics are real collectable and Ebay is the best way to get a auction going for them. If the guy offered you $50 they must be worth $150 to him......good luck and store them safely.

I really don't think it will be of much value at all, sorry. It was a big hype event and a lot of copies were sold, a lot still exist out there in mint condition.

It's a significant comic, but A LOT of people bought it. Best to consult a WIZARD magazine and see if you have a variant cover that is more rare.

If it's in mint/near mint condition, you could probably get about $90 for it from someone who missed it and has a big hole in their collection.
