I wouldn't call it babysitting. I would say the leaders cannot control their need for control, greed, and power. The more they can control others, the more "powerful" they will be. I thought the US was a free country. If that is the case then why do I feel smothered by the US to conform to the big wigs way of thinking. If we don't think like them, all the government does is make a law so we have to live by their beliefs or it is illegal to have a mind of my own. Sounds alot like Hitler is running the US. If we cut the string, we suffer in jail.

If the government of the US has become a giant babysitter to its citizens, it's only because the criminals, with their sense of entitlement, couldn't behave on their own so an intervention was necessary. It's a shame when some people ruin it for the rest of us.

The loss of civil rights in this country over the past 6 years is frightening.
Why aren't more people frightened about this?
Our government is the babysitter that installed the nanny cam to watch the kids. Better to educate the kids and trust them then to observe them thru the eyes of the nanny cam.

Yup and new libs are being trained to rely on the handouts everyday. People seem to have no pride or self worth anymore. Not many years ago people would have been ashamed to be on the government rolls but not now- its their entitlement.
Even FDR didnt mean for people to rely on the government but for government to offer a SAFETY NET

Well, what can you do? The public isn't THAT angry (though there is plenty of disappointment). Also, a revolt would not necessarily create a better government, and could cause lasting harm.

We the people of the United States of America have not been vigilant enough with those we elect to represent us and so they have been able to run amok in our name. As citizens of a democracy it is our responsibility to govern our democracy through our representatives. When we fail to keep in constant contact with them they do what they or lobbyists, who do keep in contact with them, want.

Why are you being controlled by the government? I still have all my rights and freedoms since the day I was born no change at all.
