I was thinking of starting up a teen magazine that deals with fashion, teen issues, and celebrity stuff but am unsure of what I should call the magazine. Any ideas for names? Also does anyone know any good free software I can use to create this mag that lets me make a good layout with pics etc. Thanks, I'll choose a best answer!

Take some common, everyday teen slang word and use it backwards. Like instead of Gangsta - Atsgnag (I'd pronounce it atznag) Or with that particular word you could actually substitute an M for the N and it would be Atsmag. That is just an example. There are all sorts of fun opportunities out there. Choose a word close to the crowd you want to target (called a target market) and twist on of their words. The title alone will give interest to make them want to buy it.
You could even run an introductory contest: 'What's in a Name' and see if readers can identify the source for the name.
As far as software, if your computer has a word processing program it will have all the tools you need to make a magazine. Lots of layout functions, graphics functions, etc., are never fully explored but there for the using!
